Nesar Ahmad is the founder director of BARC Trust. He holds Ph.D. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi on a topic related to “Women and Technology in the Mining Sector’’. He has done MSW from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University, New Delhi and has experience of working with various NGOs in India. He started his career with Astha, Udaipur, which includes BARC (www.barcjaipur.org) as a Resource Centre in its organisational structure. His interest areas include: issues related to poverty, livelihood, food security development-induced displacement, gender, women’s rights, child rights, and issues of governance, decentralisation, and budget analysis and advocacy.
